E-mail in Business

There are several advantages to using e-mail. E-mails can travel father distances faster than mail sent though the postal system. This means that a person does not have to wait days for a message only minuets. It is easier to understand what a person is saying in an email than talking to them on the phone. On the phone you here their accent and any speaking problems that person might have. The phone can also have long distance charges. E-mail is a quicker and clearer form of communication.

There are several disadvantages to using e-mail. Workers often send and receive messages that have nothing to do with their job. They take time from doing their job to read these e-mails. These e-mails can mixed with the important e-mails keeping a person from knowing important information. E-mail is not the most secure form of communication. A simple fax machine is more secure that an e-mail. the spellcheck on most e-mail programs is not the best. It also does not correct grammatical errors.

I have had a fairly good experience with e-mail. I do not use it all that often but when i have did not encounter any problems except spellcheck.i also have to back at the end a capitalize the beginning of every sentence. This is because I am used to typing in word and it automatically capitalizes words on its own.
